Gretna Hall Virtual Wedding Showcase

A truly historic wedding venue in Gretna Green, the Original Marriage Room is presented to you just as it would have appeared in the 1700s, when the Blacksmith Priest married runaway lovers over the original Anvil. This storied marriage room can accomodate weddings of up to 50 standing guests.

The Forge Marriage Room is a newly-built venue with history at its heart, decorated with artefacts from the era of the horse-drawn carriage. Couples marry here over the famous Anvil itself – the cornerstone of a Gretna Green wedding. This venue for runaway couples can accommodate weddings of up to 50 standing guests. 

Our newest marriage room at Gretna Green awaits at the heart of the Gretna Green Experience attraction. The Elopement Room is a truly intimate, contemporary place to marry, infused with history and charm, where you can feel the energy and emotion as you behold a Gretna Green experience like no other.

The Courtyard Room is an elegant contemporary venue set within the historic courtyard of Gretna Hall. Candlelit for the perfect romantic atmosphere, the Courtyard can host weddings of up to 60 seated guests, and a further 20 standing guests. Couples wed here over our traditional marriage Anvil, which is situated at the heart of the venue.

With its 19th-century doors, flagstone floor, and whitewashed walls, the Coach House conjures images of runaway couples arriving in horse-drawn carriages in days gone by. Today, an original carriage, set behind the marriage Anvil, makes a stunning background for this venue, which accomodates weddings of up to 45 seated guests and 25 standing. 

The Cottage at Gretna Hall is an ideal venue for smaller parties. Couples marry over the Anvil in front of a beautiful floral arrangement in and around the old cottage fireplace. Following the ceremony, couples enter into their own private garden where photographs can be taken. This intimidate marriage room can accomodate weddings of up to 8 guests.

An elegant room on the first floor of the original historic portion of Gretna Hall, our Drawing Room boasts spectacular views of the village church across to the Solway Firth. The Drawing Room will be set with a large oval table for your wedding breakfast.

The perfect venue for an intimate wedding reception with your loved ones, the Johnstone Suite is a contemporary function room named after the orignal occupiers of Gretna Hall, when it was first built as a manor house in 1710. 

Located on the ground floor of Gretna Hall, our Criffle Suite boasts its own bar, and can be arranged according to a range of different layouts. As such, it is an ideal option for tailored wedding packages.

A larger function room on the ground floor of Gretna Hall, our Annandale Suite is perfect if you wish to have a wedding breakfast followed by an evening reception with a disco and dance floor.

Each of our Bridal Suites is named for a famous couple who married at Gretna Hall, such as the wedding of Prince Carlo Ferdinando Bourbonne and Penelope Smyth in 1836, or that of Captain Charles Ibbetson and Lady Adela Corisande Maria Child Villiers in 1845.

Gretna Hall Hotel has no shortage of comfortable bedrooms for you and your guests, from our cosy Standard Double Room to our Luxury Double rooms, and even our Luxury Patio Rooms, which feature a picturesque view of the hall grounds. The hotel has seven different bedroom types available for you and your guests, which can accommodate from single guests in our Standard Single, to six in our XL Family Rooms.
